Nilan Apostolic Church

Point Manor Personal Care Home, Point Marion, PA

Chuch members, led by Max Mason and Jerry Smith, make  visits to residents of the Point Manor Personal Care Home in Point Marion.  The residents, although unable to attend services at the church, have become part of our extended family.

At Christmas time, church members provide gifts for all the residents and visit them for a special Christmas program with singing and skits from the young people.

Missions

Apostolic Asia Missions in Bangladesh

We support mission to the country of Bangladesh through the Apostolic Brethren, Columbus Ohio.  Reverend John Hira is the local pastor in Dhaka.

 "Thus speaketh the Lord of hosts, saying, Execute true judgment, and show mercy and compassions every man to his brother: and oppress not the widow, nor the fatherless, the stranger, nor the poor …" - Zechariah 7:9-10

The Youth Sponsor a Child

Six-year-old Leocadia lives with her parents, one brother, and three sisters. Her parents struggle to provide for the family. Her father is a farm laborer and her mother takes care of the household. Despite their efforts, it is difficult to meet the family's needs.

Leocadia is growing up in a poor rural community in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. Typical homes are made of sticks and palms. Rice, beans, corn tortillas, squash, nopal and sometimes chicken or beef make up the local diet. The climate is tropical and rainy, with temperatures averaging in the 80s.

Leocadia is not in school at this time. She likes to play with dolls. She helps at home by being good.

The Nilan youth invite you to join them in sponsorship to provide Leocadia and her community with access to quality health care, better nutrition and improved health practices. In addition, your support provides agricultural training and help launching small businesses so parents can raise the standard of living for their families. But most importantly, through Christian witness, these precious ones will have the chance to learn more about the love and grace of God through His Son, Jesus Christ the Lord.
