Nilan Apostolic Church was established in 1954 by the founding pastor, William E. Provance. Pastor Provance (or Brother Bill as he was know by his saints and friends) pastored the church for 42 years.
He was an accomplished musician and served as organist for the church. He also played the piano and was a solo guitarist. Having never taken a formal lesson, his exceptional musical talent was a "gift from God" and a viable part of his ministry.
Pastor Provance went to be with the Lord on October 5, 1996 at the age of 69. He left a legacy of love and service.
